Our Privacy Commitment

Clipfinity is built with privacy as the foundation. Your clipboard data is personal, and we treat it that way. This Privacy Policy explains how Clipfinity handles your information.

Data Collection

Clipboard Data

Clipfinity monitors your system clipboard and stores:

• Text you copy
• URLs you copy
• Images you copy
• Files you copy

Where it's stored: All clipboard data is stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to any server or cloud service.

What We Don't Collect

• ❌ No analytics or usage data
• ❌ No crash reports (unless you explicitly send them to support)
• ❌ No personal information
• ❌ No device identifiers
• ❌ No location data
• ❌ No network activity monitoring

How Your Data is Used

Your clipboard data is used solely to provide Clipfinity's core functionality:

• Searching through your clipboard history
• Organizing clips by type (text, URLs, images, files)
• Providing quick paste shortcuts
• Filtering and managing your clipboard history

Your data never leaves your Mac for any purpose.

Data Security

We take the security of your clipboard data seriously:

• Local-only storage: All data stays on your Mac
• Encrypted database: Your clipboard history is stored in an encrypted format
• No cloud sync: We don't offer cloud synchronization, which means no server vulnerabilities
• App sandboxing: Clipfinity runs in a macOS sandbox for additional security

Third-Party Services

Clipfinity does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

The only external connection is to Apple's servers for:

• App Store downloads and updates
• In-app purchase processing (handled entirely by Apple)

App Permissions

Clipfinity requires the following macOS permissions to function:

• Accessibility: Required to monitor clipboard changes
• Full Disk Access (optional): Only if you want to copy file paths

These permissions are used solely for clipboard functionality and nothing else.

Data Retention and Deletion

You control how long clipboard data is retained:

• Set maximum history items in Settings (default: 1000 items)
• Clear all history anytime from the app
• Enable "Auto-clear history on quit" to delete everything when you close the app

When you uninstall Clipfinity, all clipboard data is permanently deleted from your Mac.

Children's Privacy

Clipfinity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Clipfinity after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
